Use the files your station already has

MOT Lens works with MOT Testing Service data — test log exports, TQI reports and Manager Reports — without requiring a live DVSA API connection.

The problem

Your station generates MOT data through the MOT Testing Service: test logs, TQI, Manager Reports. This data is available as exports/downloads, but most stations never turn it into anything actionable because the files are awkward to work with manually.

How MOT Lens handles it

MOT Lens imports and organises the MTS data your station already receives.

  • Test log imports — upload CSV exports from MTS and MOT Lens organises them by tester, vehicle, date and site.
  • TQI / Manager Report imports — upload TQI data and see site/national comparisons, tester breakdowns and historical snapshots.
  • Structured history — imported data stays accessible, connected to testers, vehicles and quality workflows.

What this is NOT

  • There is no live DVSA API connection. MOT Lens works with the exports/downloads your station already has access to.
  • MOT Lens does not log into MTS on your behalf, use shared credentials, or automate browser access to MTS.
  • Data import is a workflow you control — upload when you have new files.

The workflow

  1. Download test logs or TQI from MTS (as you normally would).
  2. Upload to MOT Lens.
  3. MOT Lens structures the data, connects it to vehicles/testers, and surfaces attention items.
  4. Review and record outcomes as needed.

Who this is for

  • AEs who download MTS data but struggle to do anything useful with it
  • Site managers responsible for regular test-log and TQI review
  • Anyone tired of opening the same CSV in Excel every month
