MOT LENS

MOT quality management software for AEs and test stations

MOT Lens brings your station’s MOT test logs, TQI, quality work, QC records, tester management, equipment and site reviews into one connected workspace — so the AE can see what needs attention and keep a record of what they did about it.

The problem with MOT quality management today

Most MOT stations manage quality across disconnected tools — MTS for test data, spreadsheets for TQI, folders for QC records, paper for equipment calibration, emails for training certificates, and separate booking systems. Nothing is connected. Evidence gets lost. When DVSA visit, you reconstruct rather than retrieve.

Generic garage management software handles invoicing, parts and jobs — but it does not understand MTS test logs, TQI comparison, QC workflows, or AE oversight structures.

What MOT Lens covers

Eight connected areas of MOT station operations — in one workspace.

MOT test logs

Import MTS test-log exports. See tests by tester, date and vehicle. Attention signals highlight patterns worth reviewing.

TQI

Import your Manager Report. Site vs national, tester vs site, component breakdown, historical snapshots. Comparison evidence — not automatic scores.

Learn more

Quality work queue

Tests and patterns that deserve human attention flow into a structured work queue. Review, record, act.

Learn more

QC records

Plan, record and retain quality control checks. Linked to the relevant tester and test period. Follow-up tracking included.

Learn more

Tester records & training

Training years, hours, topics, annual assessment records, QC history and TQI — all in one tester profile.

Learn more

Equipment & calibration

Equipment register, calibration dates, status history. Know what is due before you are hunting through folders.

Learn more

Site reviews

Schedule reviews, record findings, track corrective actions and follow-ups. Evidence retained and accessible.

Multi-site

Organisation → Sites → VTSs → Testers. Site-specific permissions with central visibility. One workspace for the whole group.

From MTS data to operational review

1

Import — upload MTS test logs and TQI data your station already downloads.

2

Understand — MOT Lens organises tests, testers, vehicles, TQI and attention signals.

3

Review — the AE checks what deserves attention and records the outcome.

4

Retain — quality, QC, training and review evidence remains connected.

What MOT Lens does not replace

MOT Lens is not an accounting package, parts catalogue, invoicing system, or full workshop management platform. It does not replace the MOT Testing Service. It does not certify your station as “DVSA compliant” or guarantee any inspection outcome.

It is built around the MOT quality-management side of your operation — the part that most generic software ignores.
